North Parish Gathering

North Parish Gathering at 7pm next Thursday, March 30.

Please reply to Christine if you hope to come, have any questions, or are planning to bring something to share.

We will be talking over sermons and and focusing on Lent. Since we have not talked about the Lenten sermon series yet, please be thinking about the sermons since Ash Wednesday. We can’t cover it all, but our pastors have been doing an excellent job providing food for thought.
A few questions for thought and possibly for conversation:
What is Lent? What does it mean to you and how do you interact with Lent?
Consider thinking and praying about the Ash Wednesday sermon on feeling like a fake. What does it mean to feel like a fake? What does it mean to actually be fake? How does thinking about being fake or feeling like a fake change our thoughts about Lent?
What do you think of John’s image of the world from a heavenly perspective that Pastor Ben talked about in his sermon A Vision of Worship? Does it change your world? What does it mean to worship?
What does it mean to you to be living in the period between the 1st advent and the 2nd advent (Pastor Steve’s sermon A Vision of Evil and Jesus Wins)? Why is this world a terrifying place? What does it mean to you that “Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world”? How does that affect your thoughts on Lent and in living in this world?
Remember the sermons are available if you want to listen again at
