Communicant’s Class

Has your child been baptized but not yet partook of the Lord’s Table?  Is your child ready to profess faith before the elders as well as the congregation and begin partaking in communion?  For 4-wks., beginning February 12th, Pastor Ben Loos will be leading this Communicant’s Class covering who God is, our need for Christ, as well as the meaning of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  Contact , if you are interested in having your child participate in this class.

“Transitions” - College Upperclassmen - this is for you!

“Transitions” - starting February 6th, on the first Mondays of the month through April.  Are you a college upperclassman or in that post-graduate “limbo land” and thinking through how to transition into post-college life with a faith that is intact as well as flourishing?  Pastor Mike and Tanya Hsu, Steve and Jen Allen, Russ and Jane Gronewold, and Gene and Terri Summerlin invite upperclassman and post-graduates to join them in an ongoing conversation about “transitions”.  Soup Supper and Discussion begins at 6:30p Monday, February 6th at the Gronewold Home!  Contact to RSVP and for directions!

SuperBowl Party

Come watch the SB with the Grace Chapel family the evening of February 5th!  Doors open at 5p.  Bring snacks or a drink to share! 

Mission Meat Mondays

Hamburger, chicken, pork, buffalo - the People’s City Mission needs meat to feed our brothers and sisters!  Please bring your well-wrapped donations to Grace Chapel on the first Sunday on the month and place them in the marked kitchen freezer.  We will then take them to the Mission on the first Monday of the month.  By the way, the first Mondays are when we serve dinner at the Mission, so contact if you would like to help serve your donation as well!

Congregational Meeting

Please join us for our Congregational Meeting on Wednesday, January 25th.  We will have a potluck at 6p and the meeting will begin at 6:45p.  Join us to hear staff updates, 2011 year in review as well as looking forward to 2012, including our new budget.  These are important meetings to stay connected with what is going on at Grace Chapel! 

Join us at the People’s City Mission

Everyone, age 16, and above is invited to help at the People’s City Mission the first Monday of every month!  Join us as a church for this great opportunity to serve our friends who are currently without a home!  Contact for more information and to let him know you’re coming!

Awana Program

We are invited to participate in AWANA’s at Zion Church!  They meet Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:15p.  The cost is $20 to register and to help cover the costs of the uniforms, books, and awards.  AWANA is a national non denominational program, for children ages 3 years to 5th grade, that combines bible memorization and fun!  Zion Church is located just North of 27th and Old Cheney.  Please call Keith Ghormley at Zion Church with any questions 402-476-2524.

GC FoodNet Distribution - Every Friday

Every Friday at 12:15pm in Fellowship Hall.  GC FoodNet is a ministry that distributes close-to-expiration food items to people who are willing to use it.  All are welcome!  Questions?  Contact (402.477.1153).
