If you're looking for a way to be involved and use your unique gifts and talents, there are many opportunities to serve one another within our church family, and in our community. Our hope is that each of our newly launched Parishes will have a service focus. Being involved in a parish community will provide lots of opportunities to love your neighbors and your city well. We also have specific needs and positions of service to fill. Consider joining us in ministry in one of the following ways:
We are always looking for energetic, loving, patient volunteers to help love the little ones at Grace Chapel. We need helpers who are willing to serve in the nursery during one or two services a month. If you're interested in offering your time and energy, please contact Sara Parkening.
Children's Sunday School
If you enjoy kids and are excited about their role in the church, you'd be a great Sunday School assistant or substitute! Assistants help the teacher pass out materials, answer questions, and facilitate the lesson and activities, and substitutes are needed to fill in for teachers or assistants on the regular schedule. If either of those roles sounds like a good fit for you, please contact Amy Taylor.
Our Mercy Meals ministry strives to provide meals upon the birth of a child, a death in the family, hospitalization, or similar event to help our brothers and sisters at Grace Chapel get through a difficult time. If you are aware of Grace Chapel individuals who might be in need of meals, or want to participate as a cook, please contact Kara Proctor.
There is always room on the hospitality team, whose aim is to create a welcoming worship space on Sunday mornings. We are currently on a monthly rotation of serving. This is a great way to connect with others and serve GC at the same time. Please contact the Grace Chapel office to serve on this team.
We want to love as we have been loved, and for our church to be inclusive to all people. We desire to see people of all ages, with all kinds of abilities, serving and being served at Grace Chapel! One of the ways we serve families who have been touched with disability is to offer Respite Days four times a year on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 PM to provide a break for families who have a child with needs. Contact Diane Ulmer if you would like hear more about this ministry.
Service Talent Survey
We are always interested in connecting your gifts with those who may benefit from them. Please fill out our Service Talent Survey to tell us a little about yourself and how you might be interested in serving others.
